Upon arrival at Kangra airport, you will be met and get transferred to hotel for your check in. After getting freshen up you will be leaving for a half day tour which covers Kangra art museum known for its famous arts & crafts and also offers wide variety of miniature paintings. Then a quick visit to tea gardens followed by a Courtesy visit to a war memorial which is a tribute to those brave souls who sacrificed their life for the country and this signifies that these soldiers will always be alive in our thoughts. During the operations of 1947-48, 1962, 1965, and 1971 and various peacekeeping missions and it was in their memory that the War Memorial was built with the names of those many heroes inscribed on the stone. After this visit you will be leaving for a famous cricket stadium followed by a quick visit to ancient Kunal Pathri temple. It is dedicated to Goddess Durga, who is believed to have been immortalized in a stone that always remains wet inside the temple. The temple displays wonderful carvings of gods and goddesses and it is believed that when Goddess Sati, wife of Lord Shiva, died, her skull had fallen here on this spot. After breakfast, begin your full day trip with a visit to Gyuto monastery The Gyuto Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in Tibet and specializes in the study of Tantric meditation, Tantric ritual arts and Buddhist philosophy. The main disciple of the first Dalai Lama, Jetsun Kunga Dhondup, founded Gyuto Monastery in 1474 in eastern Tibet & now in Dharamshala. Gopalpur zoo: The Gopalpur Zoo is one of the ultimate family getaways that one can cherish forever and is a home to several species of birds and animals which never cease to amaze tourists. Palampur Tea Gardens: The tea gardens appear on either side of the road well before you enter Palampur, giving you a sense of entering into a dreamland. Since Palampur is called the Tea Capital of northern India, it is famous for its lush tea gardens sprawling over vast acres of land. These splendid gardens are among the chief attractions of the hill-town. Baijnath temple: Baijnath temple is located in Baijnath town which is 50 kms away from Dharamshala. The ancient Baijnath shrine of Lord Shiva was made by two merchants in 1204 AD. The early medieval north Indian architecture of temple will leave you spell bound and of course priests reciting the mantras and divine power keeps you glued in the premises for hours.
